Larry Pearson calls the new Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Memorial a “great addition to the state.”
“Particularly for those who lost loved ones,” he said, “it’s nice to have a permanent marker.”
Pearson and his wife, Linda, who live in Bennington, attended the dedication of the memorial in Papillion on Thursday. They came for a reason: To honor Larry’s brother, SP 4 Mickey Pearson, who was killed in action in Vietnam.
