At least 64 people died in an attack that took place in the remote Highlands region of Papua New Guinea. A police spokesman said the victims were shot dead during a tribal dispute in Enga province last weekend.
The Highlands area has been experiencing episodes of violence, but this shooting is being considered the worst in recent years due to the influx of illegal firearms.
Meanwhile, the Police started to collect the bodies from the scene near the town of Wabag, about north-west of the capital Port Moresby.
